It is with great sadness to announce the sudden passing of our father Bob Reid. He departed on
June 17 th , 2026, due to an advanced stage of heart failure.
Born in Victoria, BC, to parents Elton and Ruth Reid, Bob was born a 6 th generation Canadian.
Bob (Bobby) was the eldest of 5 siblings growing up in the Greater Victoria area.
Bob spent his life working at Victoria Shipyards / Yarrows and was a proud member of the Sheet
Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers Association, celebrating over 50 years of service in
2019. He worked on some amazing projects such as the BC Ferries, BC Ambulance, the
Canadian Coast Guard and the Canadian Navy to name a few.
Fishing was something Bob loved to do with friends and family. He spent a lot of time locally at
Pedder Bay and Cheanuh Marina as well up island in Banfield.
Bob and his wife Bev lived up on the Malahat for several years. It was their little piece of
heaven that they loved so much.
His last few years were spent at Ts’I’ts’uwatul’ Lelum Assisted Living. During this time he
became very close with his friend Barb. They enjoyed touring the town of Duncan on their
scooters and exploring the Community. He really looked forward to the July summer concerts
with Barb.

and Jessica, and siblings Kathy, Rick and Wendy. He was predeceased in death by his wife Beverly
