It is with a heavy heart we say goodbye to Eleanor Black, previously of Lake Cowichan, BC where she resided for two decades.
My daughter was a person who lived a life of deep contrasts. There was a part of her that was capable of great darkness as she struggled during most of her lifetime with great physical pain. But that darkness was not the whole story. There was also a beautiful light within Ellie—a loving, kind, and generous person, empathetic to other people's plights particularly the downtrodden and the homeless... And the light within Ellie enriched our lives. We remember her laugh, her creative passion, her pride and the love for her children Caden and Maeve and the moments of connection and joy that brought us together. We remember too the friends she made while she lived in Richland, WA US finding some peace and relief with her mother Roberta Carling. An almost lifelong struggle with terrible pain is now at an end. Rest in peace until we meet again my beautiful daughter and mother. You are loved
